The Strand serves the entire Gold Coast and Northern NSW regions, with the location of the centre within a  prominent key retail precinct of a major tourist beachside location.

This makes The Strand at Coolangatta the first port of call for local shoppers. 

SO WHO ARE THEY?

The average age of our main trade area residents is 45.9 years old. 
Couples with dependant children are the most prevalent household type, making up 32.7% of the main trade area households. 
86.6% of locals are Australian born (above the Rest of QLD average of 84.4%)
36.8% of locals own their own home outright (above the Rest of QLD average of 31.9%)

The Primary Trade Area (PTA) encompasses Coolangatta, Bilinga, Tugun, Tweed Heads, Tweed Heads West and Bilambil Heights. Secondary sectors include Currumbin, Currumbin Waters, Currumbin Valley, Tallebudgera, Elanora, Palm Beach,  Tallebudgera Creek, Burleigh, Kingscliff, Tweed Heads South, Banora Point, Terranora, Fingal Heads, Chinderah, Cudgen, Kingscliff, Casuarina and Duranbah.

Looking beyond the local residents, 50% of total centre sales come from customers outside our total trade area – these are customers from the rest of the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, as well as domestic and international tourists.
