Cappuccino extra froth, double shot flat white, long black milk on the side, single origin espresso, short mac or iced latte, The Strand’s baristas have made it all. Passionate about their coffee, they know just how to make the perfect cup, every time. So, what’s their daily fix? We asked our main baristas to spill the beans on their coffee of choice.

GRIFFITH ST. LARDER 

“My daily pick is a double flat white, on normal milk. I drink so much coffee —black, soy,  everything—but if I go anywhere, that’s the coffee I’ll order to compare the quality of their coffee,  because it has a good ratio of milk to coffee. It’s also my favourite to make.”

SUNBAKED BAKERY 

“I start my day with a piccolo. Then I’ll have a double shot vanilla latte for sweetness. To be a good barista you need to enjoy coffee. I’ve had coffee prepared by people who don’t drink it—it’s just not the same.”

“I have a bit of a weird order, but I’ll have a Sheep (Black Sheep’s medium size) triple shot, 3/4 filled with rice milk—to keep me going!”

“I normally have a cappuccino and a flat white at the start of the day to taste the quality of our coffee. Personally, I also like Chai Latte.”

“Our most popular orders are a skinny cap, latte or piccolo, but I love drinking a double shot latte. I’ve been here almost a year and it’s where I learnt to make coffee. This is the best office I’ve ever had.”
