Retailer profiles – Jacinta Bishop – Salt Living

on 10 September 2018 in Home & Lifestyle
Tired of seeing the same imported furniture and homewares in stores across the Gold Coast, and noticing a lack of her favourite Australian brands and designers, Jacinta Bishop was inspired to open Salt Living, bringing quality products and unique style to The Strand.

Q. What makes Salt Living special?
A. We are very customer focused and aim to provide our customers with an enjoyable and positive experience. Whether someone is shopping or just browsing, we love to welcome them in. We offer them personalised service and advice if they want it, or simply love to have a chat and let them browse, try things on, smell the candle fragrances or test the hand creams. We also have a Loyalty Program which our regular customers love.

Q. What can a customer in your store expect to see?
A. High quality products made of natural materials and all Australian or New Zealand designed. We have a bit of everything ranging from rugs, furniture and soft furnishings to fashion, swimwear and beach umbrellas.

Q. Where do you draw your inspiration from?
A. Our Australian and coastal way of life as well as spending time in and around the sea.

Q. What do you love most about your job?
A. Creating something special – a curation of beautiful things as well as a place where people love to come in for the atmosphere and relaxed vibe.

Q. What are the current interior trends we can expect to see in spring?
A. Bold colours with an island-jungle-animal type vibe. Fashion trends will be high waisted swimsuit bottoms and macramé beach bags. The ever-popular St Agni Woven Loafers are now coming as a Woven Slide, so we anticipate these to be a hit coming into the warmer months.

Find Salt Living on the Ground Level at The Strand or visit their website at www.saltliving.com.au with pieces available for purchase online.
